Embracing Life With Cancer

On March 20th, 2024, the World Mental Healthcare Association, in partnership with Narayana Hospital Howrah, orchestrated a workshop aimed at cancer survivors. Dubbed “Embracing Life with Cancer,” the workshop was led by Ritika Majumder, an Onco-psychologist.

Esteemed medical professionals lent their support and encouragement to the event, including Dr. Neha Choudhary, a breast cancer specialist, Dr. Vivek Agarwala, a medical oncologist, Dr. Suman Mallik, Clinical Head and Senior Consultant, Mr. Tapani Ghosh, Facility Director at Narayana Hospital, and Dr. Debanjon Mondal, a psychiatric consultant.

The workshop placed a primary emphasis on the mental health of the patients and explored various coping strategies. Participants found the workshop to be a novel and enriching experience, warmly embracing its content and objectives.
