On May 10, 2024, Tech Mahindra in Kolkata hosted an enlightening workshop titled “Well Being at Workplace,” organized by the World Mental Healthcare Association (WMHA). The event was a part of ongoing efforts to enhance employee wellness and productivity through proactive mental health strategies.
The workshop was expertly led by Mr. Sukreet Shome, Principal L&D Consultant and Instruction Design Specialist at WMHA, and rPsychologist Dr. Soubhagya Laksmi Dutt, Associate Consultant at WMHA. Their combined expertise provided a robust framework for addressing various workplace challenges that affect employee well-being.
1.Causes of Well-being Disruptions at the Office: The workshop began with a detailed examination of the common factors that disrupt workplace harmony and employee well-being. Participants were engaged in identifying these disruptions within their own environments, setting the stage for a practical and interactive learning experience.
2.Tackling Disruptions: Techniques and strategies to mitigate these disruptions were discussed extensively. The facilitators equipped the employees with problem-solving tools tailored to their specific workplace dynamics.
3.Managing Stress at the Workplace: Stress management is crucial in any work environment, and the workshop addressed this through a series of exercises and discussions aimed at recognizing stressors and implementing effective coping mechanisms.
4.Time Management: Participants learned about time management techniques that could help them achieve a better work life balance, thereby enhancing both their personal and professional lives.
5.Mindfulness: The session highlighted mindfulness as a powerful tool for the fast-paced corporate world. Through guided sessions, the participants experienced first-hand the benefits of mindfulness practices.
