Medico-legal is something that involves both medical and legal aspects, mainly: Medical jurisprudence, a branch of medicine. Medical law, a branch of law. Practitioners have to be aware about contemporary medico-legal issues for the safety of individuals, community and society. According to The Mental Health care Act,2017 ‘’The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017. Long Title: An Act to provide for mental healthcare and services for persons with mental illness and to protect, promote and fulfil the rights of such persons during delivery of mental health care and services and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto’’. Informed consent, confidentiality, conflict of interest, therapeutic misconception, placebo related, vulnerability, exploitation are very significant issues that have to be followed.
