WMHA makes a number of awards available each year to recognise excellence in research, practice teaching and education in psychology.

  1. Lifetime Achievement Award –

This particular award is given to members of WMHA who have made sustained, outstanding, contributions and have had a national impact on the sector to the history of psychology over the course of their careers.

  1. Scientific Research Excellence Award-

This particular award is given to psychologists who have made exceptional theoretical or empirical advances in psychology resulting in the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses forward.

  1. Outstanding Mentor Award –

This award recognizes members of WMHA who have demonstrated outstanding mentorship to students and/or to other members and guided a big number of early career psychological scientists.
